So, friends today I’m going to tell you how to play barre chords on guitar, but does anyone knows why do we play barre chords. No, okay i tell you. Friends barre chords give us a opportunity to play with more bass in our guitar, no matter what kind of guitar we have, either it is (acoustic guitar, semi acoustic guitar or semi electric guitar), or whatever. You were able to play with the bass with any kind of guitar you have.

How to Barre

First thing is to do is, place your index finger on 1st Fret To 5th Fret across all the strings, where you’re comfortable. Holding down all the strings and on a fret is called barre.

One important Tip, while barre make sure all the six strings pressed properly. Play all the six strings individually and check it strums nicely. It will feel pain on the beginning, but once you practice, it will gives you the result.. (NO ‘PAIN’ NO ‘GAIN’)

Well, there are many ways to play a chord on guitar, same chord played on different frets and on different strings..

So, Today I’m going to tell you some major and sharp barre chords with same shape of your fingers, only you have to do is to shift the position of your fingers to another fret.

We will start with the most important chord F major Barre chord. Through F major barre chord you can play any of these following chords. So, here we go..!

How to Play F major Barre Chord

For F major Barre Chord (Barre 1st Fret)

#Step 1 – Put your index finger on first fret and hold all strings down perfectly (Barre).

#Step 2 – Put your middle finger on 3rd string 2nd fret.

#Step 3 – Put your ring finger on 5th string 3rd fret.

#Step 4 – Put your pinky finger on 4th string 3rd fret just below your ring finger.

Now strum all the strings individually, if it sounds good then your done, if it sounds buzzy or muted then don’t worry just check and press all the strings correctly. Practice it as much as you can for better results.

How to Play F# (sharp) major Barre Chord

For F# major Barre Chord (Barre 2nd Fret)

#Step 1 – Play F major barre chord.

#Step 2 – Shift the same position/shape of your hand to 2nd fret and you’re done.

F# (sharp) major barre chord is as simple as F major Barre chord. You just have to shift your F Major barre chord position to 2nd fret.

Again strum all the strings and check it.

How to Play G major Barre Chord

For G major Barre Chord (Barre 3rd Fret)

#Step 1 – Play F# (sharp) major barre chord.

#Step 2 – Shift the same position/shape of your hand to 3rd fret and you’re done.

G major barre chord is as simple as F# major Barre chord. You just have to shift your F# Major barre chord position to 3rd fret.

Again do the same thing, strum all the six strings to check it sounds nicely.
